Automatic IntraVUE Threshold Setting
WBC Network Health Monitor will set the Ping and Bandwidth Thresholds in IntraVUE automatically once enough data has been collected.
Typically this requires WBC Network Health Monitor to have collected at least 6 hours of data.
Changing a setting requires that a minumum number of those 350 minutes have data. When that is true, WBC Network Health Monitor will update the value in IntraVUE according to logic based on history. This will result in devices like PLCs having ping thresholds in the order of 2 milliseconds instead of the IntraVUE default of 30.
The Threshold Analysis and Configuration Report will show the current threshold values in Intravue and a new value based on analysis which is slightly different than the logic used for automatic setting - but it is very close.
In order to tell if a default value of 30 was changed by WBC Network Health Monitor, WBC Network Health Monitor never sets a value of 30. If 30 is calculated, 31 is set. In this way all values that are 30 are defaults from Intravue. They may not have changed in the case of devices which frequently disconnect over the course of 6 hours.
